ILISA strongly encourages its students to participate in the homestay program in which they live with a local host family during their entire stay in the school. This provides the opportunity to be completely immersed in a Spanish-speaking environment and to reinforce newly-acquired language skills.

We have options, however, for students interested in other arrangements, such as staying at a hotel or an "apartotel."

An apartotel is a combination of an apartment and a hotel, providing the privacy and comfort of the former with the service of the latter. ILISA regularly sends students to the hotels and apartotels mentioned on the right.

Although we'll be happy to help in making the necessary reservations, payment for the apartotel or hotel is the student's responsibility. To ensure the hotel room or apartment of the student's choice, reservations have to be made well in advance. ILISA's staff will start making the arrangements as soon as an application form and deposit is received.

In Panama, we offer also a range of hotel options in the city within a 10-20 minute taxi ride from ILISA. Alternatively, we can arrange serviced apartments (kitchen equipped with microwave, fridge, coffee maker plus DirecTV, air-conditioning and telephone at just 3 minutes walking from ILISA.

The rate is USD 40 per night for one person per apartment, USD 30 when sharing an apartment but with separate rooms, USD 25 per person when sharing a room.
